Christian Marriage And Sex
Christian marriage and sex is a very delicate topic for Christian couples who do not know what they are allowed to do or prohibited to do when it comes to sexual activities in a marriage. Because churches have a predisposition of ignoring this subject and most Christian books focus on spiritual ideas rather than pragmatic ones, many young Christian couples engage in activities that bring pleasure, intimacy, climax, closeness and satisfaction without knowing if what they are doing is sinful or not.

Christian Marriage And Sex
Christian sex and marriage rules can’t be conducted into making a general list of do’s and don’ts, because different communities of Christian respect different beliefs about sexual activities. Those beliefs are usually based on a few general biblical principles.
Since Christian belief acts on behalf of the idea that God approves of couples who enjoy the intensity of sexual desire, different sex and marriage types can’t be separated based on strict classifications. As long as partners are investing in a long-term holy marriage and find spiritual fulfillment, they can freely enjoy the gift of sexual desire. Although the Song of Solemn describes the sexual positions that are accepted by God, the Bible isn’t a sexual technique manual. God approves of all those who embrace the love that comes from sexual connection, but there are some specific sexual behaviors that are forbidden in the Bible such as adultery and fornication or premarital sexual intercourse. The Scriptures also include homosexuality, incest and bestiality as abominations.
Christian couples should respect their right to exclusivity, meaning that multiple partners can create mistrust and anxiety. Only sex that creates deeper levels of intimacy should be practiced by married Christian couples. Men in a couple can be tempted by different positions and by experimentation with different stimulants. Their need can be turned into a source of developing mutual submissiveness, meaning that each individual will have to give gifts of love to their partner by doing things that please their sexuality. The Bible advises over withholding sex when there is no mutual consent, but if both partners enjoy and desire a specific sexual activity that involves only them, there are no religious restrictions over it.
Christian couples should remember to engage only in sexual activities that are pleasurable for both partners. That is why religious rules oppose bondage sex and sado-masochistic fantasies. These activities, instead of bringing selfless love, create shame, humiliation and devaluation. If young Christian couples lack a strong relationship, they should not engage in sexual intimacy. Also, using pornography or explicit sexual material should be avoided because it may erode the enjoyment partners have for each other.
Although some Christian marriage and sex rules may seem rigid and lack understanding for one’s needs and sexual cravings, partners need to remember that God approves of the sexual act because it is a form of passionately embracing each other bodies and spirits.
